Fitness Isn't a side note in recovery.
Here it's a tool
The Gap We Fill
Treatment works on the mind. Ironwood works on the body. Together, alongside Cottonwood's clinical services
and Brenda's House of Hope's structured housing, they work on the whole person.
Three of the biggest obstacles in early recovery are lack of routine, lack of motivation, and boredom. Ironwood directly attacks all three. When you're in the gym every morning, you have somewhere to be. You have something to do. And over time, you have proof in your body, in your energy, and in the mirror that what you're doing is working.

The Education First
Before clients ever pick up a weight, we sit down with them. We walk through our 8-module recovery fitness curriculum covering better sleep, more energy, stress relief, reduced cravings, improved mood, and confidence, so that clients understand exactly why they're here. Not just how to work out, but why fitness and recovery are connected at a biological level.
"Once you can get a client to really feel what fitness does for them — you've got them. Hook, line, and sinker."
The Intake & Goal Sheet
Every new client completes an intake and a personal goal sheet. What do you want? What do you need? What's your story? We take all of it seriously. That goal sheet is how we build your program, not from a template, but from who you actually are.
You're also matched with a trainer whose style fits yours. Need strength and fat loss? Matt's got you. Looking for yoga, flexibility, and holistic wellness? April's your trainer. You can even work with multiple trainers.

Accountability Without Shame
Every session starts with an emotional check-in, not "Are you ready to work out" but "How are you doing today, really?"
And if you don't show up, we call. Not to guilt you. Not to count the session. Just to ask: are you okay?
If you relapse, you are still welcome here. Recovery isn't linear. Ironwood isn't conditional. Fall down seven times, we'll be here when you get up eight.
